The purely plant-based, leather-look material is extremely durable and protected against stains by a special impregnation.

Nordkynd placemats are made from cellulose, rubber, water, and paint. Each set is printed by hand with natural dyes, making it a unique one-of-a-kind piece.

The deliberate used look comes from the washing process and rounds off an elegant overall appearance.

Care instructions:

Wipe off stains promptly with a damp cloth and a little dish soap. Do not use scouring pads or brushes. Iron while slightly damp, using parchment paper as a protective layer.

Nordkynd is the manufacturer of this product. All raw materials and substances, such as containers, keychains, resin, etc., were purchased in Germany from German companies and thus meet all quality standards.

Sources of danger with resin

• Sources of danger with resin only occur during production.
• Harmful vapors, which are present in some types of resin due to chemicals, are no longer present in the cured products.
• We have had all our resin products tested by the health department and they are officially approved for food, as there are no longer any harmful substances in the product.
• If cutting with very sharp blades on the resin, small scratches and signs of wear will remain. For this reason, please use the board as a serving board and at most as a snack/picnic board. There are no health hazards here; it is purely visual damage to the product.
• Please do not place hot objects, such as pans or pots, on the material. Resin will deform slightly above 60°C (e.g., slight imprint of the object). The hotter the object, the greater the damage to the resin.
