In other pieces, the sandy beach is completely bare. The foundation is laid with the first layer, which is finished with opaque pigments. This layer can either be painted or poured with tinted resin. 

Gradually, further layers are poured, one wave at a time. The piece is built from the bottom up, with every layer carefully considered to best showcase the motif underneath. The larger the piece, the more layers it has. However, every piece has at least 4 layers to create that impressive depth.
